Football finals fever has hit and fans are in their element as the competition grips our attention.

Can’t make it to the game? The next best place is to be in a luxurious, (could you turn down the air con a degree or two?) state of the art, (did you see the sweat beads on his eyelashes?), home (come on over, we’ve got the game on in the cinema!) screening room.

We’ve gone through and chosen our top picks for the best screening rooms.

Ready? Game on.

92 Yarrbat, Balwyn

This home has cleverly placed the theatre next to a kitchen (no more hot beers or cold coffees), a bathroom (because they never pause it until you get back) and, oh yes, a full-sized cellar.

13 Wimba, Kew

Ideal for those who get bored during half time, the gym is right next door to the theatre. Even better, the bar is just another few steps away should things go pear-shaped or you want to celebrate.

101 Commodore Drive, Surfers Paradise

Luxurious seats that look so plush and soft it’d be hard to stay awake. Unless of course you arrived by helicopter and landed on the private pad over the Nerang River.

Did we mention there’s a sports bar across the hall? This place was built for the finals!

2 Rosherville Road, Mosman

The hardest part about living on Sydney’s glistening harbour is that pesky glare when you’re trying to see if the ref’s got it right and it’s not a try.

This tiered media room kicks a few goals all on its own, and you would not miss one, single, hi-def detail.

5 Conway Avenue, Rose Bay

With a very Hollywood glamour main foyer, this theatre is easily accessed from there – a chance to do the whole big entrance thing. Actual sporting pursuits are well catered for with a pool and rumpus not too far away.

5 Westwood Street, Wavell Heights

While this stunning home has uninterrupted city views, it’s hard to pull your eyes away from the screening room.

54 Twin Peak View in the Queenstown Lakes District

Enjoy the game in style in this breathtaking lodge. And if your team loses? Well, no one will hear you scream in this lakeside getaway.
